Rhythm & Drum Lessons

Rhythm and drumming are essential parts of
many cultures and can be thought of as ways to express and connect with yourself and other people in music circles.

Learning to play the drum can be a transformative and healing process as you re-connect with your intuitive sense of rhythm. Classes are held in a supportive and non-judgmental way as you explore the drum at your own pace. During our sessions, we will engage in conversations about genres of music and rhythms that inspire you so that you can have fun as you learn to play along with the music that you enjoy.

Additionally, I have developed the Music History Survey (MHS), which I can administer during our initial sessions to provide us with an in-depth understanding of how music has influenced you throughout your life. The survey is a fun and insightul way to gather information so that we can better customize your rhythm and drumming lessons.

Group and private djembe, doumbek or daf (frame drum) lessons are available.
